If you’re wondering where the greatest motorbike engines are made, the answer is almost certainly Italy. Ducati motorbikes are well-known for their high-performance four-stroke 90-degree V-twin engines with desmodromic valves. The Desmodromic valve design is a 50-year-old innovation in internal combustion engine technology. It opens and closes the valves using a specific cam lobe and lifter rather than a typical valve spring.
